Free site check
Twelve technical checks, run live against the address you give it. The same checks that open a paid audit. No sign-up, no report emailed later, nothing stored.
Twelve checks, run live against the page. Nothing is stored.
What it looks at
Everything below is read from the page itself, its robots.txt and its sitemap. Nothing is guessed, and a check that cannot be evaluated says so rather than inventing a verdict.
- Served over HTTPS
- Whether the final address is secure.
- Page title
- Present, and short enough to survive a search result.
- Meta description
- Present, or Google writes one for you.
- Canonical address
- Whether it points at the host that served the page. This is the check that catches sites quietly pointing search engines at a domain they no longer own.
- Single H1
- One statement of what the page is.
- Readable without JavaScript
- Word count in the delivered HTML. AI crawlers do not run JavaScript.
- Structured data
- Which JSON-LD types are present.
- Social preview image
- Whether shared links render a card or bare text.
- Security headers
- HSTS, nosniff, and clickjacking protection.
- robots.txt
- Present, and not accidentally disallowing the whole site.
- Sitemap
- Reachable, and listing addresses on the right domain.
- AI crawler access
- Whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot are blocked.
A failing check is not always worth fixing
Some of these matter enormously and some barely register, and which is which depends on your site. Send the result and we will tell you which two are worth your time.
