GEO audit for small businesses
Find out whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity name your business when a customer asks, and what to fix first.
Last updated:
The short answer
A GEO audit checks whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity name your business when a customer asks about what you do. We take 20 questions your customers would really ask and run each one on three AI engines with the same wording every time, logging every answer, so the results are repeatable and not a single screenshot of a chat window.
We then review how your site, structured data, listings and robots rules look to AI crawlers, compare you with three competitors, and hand you a written report with a prioritised list of 15 fixes. It is a fixed-scope deliverable with a fixed price, delivered in about a week.
It is a measurement and a plan, not a promise. Nobody can guarantee a ranking or a mention in an AI answer, and we do not. If you want the fixes applied afterwards, that is a separate monthly package, and the audit fee is credited to your first month.
What we measure
The measurement is 20 questions across 3 AI engines. We write the questions with you, from the way your customers actually phrase them: what you sell, where you work, what it costs, who is best, and a few that name your brand directly. Each question is asked on every engine, and more than once, because an answer on Tuesday is not always the answer on Wednesday.
For every answer we record whether your business is named, whether your site is linked or cited, and which competitors and third-party pages the engine leans on instead. The question set and method stay fixed, so we can run the same set again later for a fair before-and-after.
The limits are part of the method. API answers can differ from what a person sees inside a consumer chat app, results move between runs, and 20 questions are a sample, not the whole market. We report what we saw, with the caveats beside it. We do not promise rankings, and we do not invent a score that hides the variance.
What you get
One written report. Nothing in it needs us to read it for you.
- A baseline report: the 20 questions, the 3 engines, who was named, and where your business stands today
- A technical SEO, schema and AI-crawler check: crawlability, robots rules, structured data, canonical tags, llms.txt, and whether the page text is in the HTML AI crawlers fetch
- A competitor comparison against three competitors, on the same questions
- A prioritised list of 15 fixes, ordered by impact and effort, each with the evidence behind it
How it works
Four steps, and the first one is the only one that needs you.
- 01
Brief
You send the site address, a short description of the business, the markets and languages that matter, and any competitors you already know. We agree the 20 questions with you.
- 02
Measure
We run every question on three AI engines, more than once, and record who is named and which sources the engines rely on.
- 03
Review
We check the site, structured data, listings and crawler access against what the answers show, and compare you with three competitors.
- 04
Deliver
You receive the written report and the 15-item fix list, and we go through it with you if you want a walkthrough.
Price and timing
$299one-off, fixed scope
- Timing. About one week from the moment we have the brief.
- Credit toward a plan. If you continue with a monthly package, the audit fee is credited to month one.
- Regions. Prices are set per region, in Turkish lira, euro or US dollars, so they are not a live currency conversion. Prices exclude taxes where applicable.
Who it is for
Owners and marketers of small businesses that already have a website and want to know, with evidence, whether AI assistants can find and describe them, before spending on content or tools.
Who it is not for
Anyone looking for a guaranteed first place or a guaranteed mention. And businesses with no website yet: we would build or rebuild the site first, because there is nothing to audit.
Questions about the GEO audit
How is a GEO audit different from an SEO audit?
An SEO audit asks whether search engines can crawl, index and rank your pages. A GEO audit starts one step later: when a customer asks an AI assistant about your kind of business, is your business named, and if not, what is in the way. It reuses the technical checks that matter to both, then adds the question testing, the entity and listing consistency review and the competitor comparison.
Do you guarantee that AI assistants will mention us?
No. Nobody outside the AI companies controls what an assistant says, and answers change from one run to the next. The audit measures where you stand today and lists what is within your control. It is a measurement and a plan, not a promise of rankings or mentions.
How long does the audit take?
About one week from the moment we have what we need from you: the site address, a short description of the business, the markets and languages you care about, and any competitors you already have in mind.
What access do you need?
Your public site address is enough for most of the audit. If you want the Google Business Profile reviewed as well, we ask for view-only access to it. We do not need passwords, and we do not change anything on your site during the audit.
What happens after the audit?
You keep the report and the fix list and can hand them to any developer, including your own. If you would rather have us apply the fixes and keep working on it, the monthly packages start from the audit findings, and the audit fee is credited against your first month.
Can you implement the fixes?
Yes. The Basic monthly package applies the fixes from the audit: schema, titles and meta descriptions, name-address-phone consistency, llms.txt and basic speed work. That is a separate, monthly engagement and is never required to receive the audit.
