EssGift helps you remember the dates that matter and arrive with the right gift.
Add the people in your life with their birthdays, anniversaries and other dates, then keep gift ideas for each one as they come to you: a title, a link, a price and a note. Move each gift from idea to bought to given so you always know where you stand.
What you get

- Reminders on your phone, a number of days before at 9:00, that you choose
- Share a person's open ideas as a plain text list. Gifts you already bought or gave are left out so nothing gets spoiled

- Fill in name and price from a product link, only when you tap the button (the request goes from your phone straight to that web page, not through us)
- Optional app lock with Face ID, fingerprint or your device passcode

- Spending insights: spent versus planned, per person and per date
- Gift history by year, with a warning before you repeat a gift
- Import birthdays from Contacts in one go (read on your phone when you tap, never uploaded)
- Add your dates and reminders to your calendar as an .ics file
- Monthly or annual billing, charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. Renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel any time in your store account settings.
Private by design
- No account or sign-up
- Your data stays on your phone. We do not receive it
- No ads and no tracking
- Buying or restoring Pro goes through the App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat, using an anonymous ID
- Deleting the app deletes the data
Reminders are a convenience and may not appear if notifications are off or your phone is restricted. Prices are the ones you enter or that you fill in from a link you paste, only when you tap the button; EssGift does not convert currencies.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up or login. Open EssGift and use it.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone only. EssGift does not send your entries to us, and there are no ads. Deleting the app deletes the data.
What is free and what is Pro?
Free for up to 5 people. Pro is an optional subscription, billed monthly or annually by the App Store or Google Play.
What is shared when I buy Pro?
The purchase is handled by the App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat, which manages subscription status, using an anonymous ID. None of your entries are part of it.
When can I get it?
EssGift is coming soon on the App Store and Google Play. We will link the store pages here when it is live.
